New outfit for Lightning dubbed “American college student” composed of short shorts and Ugg boots instead of her shield she holds a Starbucks frappuccino and it comes with an innate negative status effect in which she always gets ambushed by enemies and you can’t fight back until 15 in-game minutes have passed
But at least she can take solace in the fact that her enemies know her name and not her story
New screenshots from Square Enix showcase the Dead Dunes, a new continent in Nova Chrysalia detailed in this week’s Jump!.
They also show the Overclock system, known as Lightspeed in the English versions, in action. It allows Lightning to slow down or freeze their enemies in their tracks should their onslaught prove too overwhelming, at the cost of Energy Points.
Lightning can also cast recovery magic, which also expends her EP pool. That said, items such as potions should be used first to heal, with recovery spells used sparingly.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall.

This week’s issue of Jump! reveals new information on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. A new continent in Nova Chrysalia known as the Dead Dunes, comprised of a vast desert littered with ruins.
A new feature to the battle system is also introduced, known as the Overclock. Should the player feel too overwhelmed fighting a powerful enemy, Lightning has the ability to use this last ditch effort to slow down or freeze the enemy. The Overclock costs GP, a new point stat tied to recovery magic.
The Overclock bears strong similarities to the battle system concept shown in Final Fantasy XIII’s reveal trailer at E3 2006.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall.

A moment of silence for all the people who placed preorder reserves for Versus XIII at Gamestop and Amazon back in 2006 because wow was the joke on them or what

Do you see what I see? I feel like it's fake but at the same time it looks pretty legit. What do you think? (I spaced out the link so I could put it in the ask) imgur. com/ a/HVtoY
Am I the only one who’s looking at those prices because wow if it’s true I’m in trouble because prostitution only pays so much
I take everything with a grain of salt especially when it comes to things like this, so I don’t react until I hear official word. But if people want to believe it and make a fuss out of the world like they always do then that’s cool~*~*~
